On June 26, 2025, the Philadelphia Office of Sustainability and Department of Sanitation jointly issued this RFI for advice on how to better manage solid waste in the city. This is intended to inform the request for proposals (RFP) for how the city’s waste will be handled after current waste disposal and recycling contracts expire on 6/30/2026.
